Sussex Road and Race is a specialist business set up by myself, Kevin Fulbrook, to support both MINI and Classic Mini vehicles.
As the ex John Cooper Chief Mechanic I built a number of the MINI Challenge race cars as well as fitting many of the JCW upgrade kits.
Since leaving John Cooper’s I have supported several Drivers in the MINI Challenge race series with considerable success, achieving class wins and, in 2006, the Overall Championship. In 2008 we stepped up to S Class and despite a large accident early in the series, that required a major rebuild, achieved a podium finish later in the year.2009 brought new drivers to us and the challenge,Lee Allen and Kevin Oconner. Expectations grew when they got closer to the front runners near the end of season with some podiums.2010 season has been our most successful with another new driver joining Criag Freeman in s class along with Lee Allen. Lee dominated the S class wining 16 class wins and taking the S class and overall championship,Criag new comer two racing came a brilliant third in class, Kevin Oconner fighting all the way in club class came second in class.We would like to thank the drivers and crew for a great season .

The knowledge gained from our race successes helps us to offer many engine, suspension and brake upgrades, for both road and track vehicles, that may be optimized to your requirements. We can also build complete Race Cars and offer Race Set Up and Track Day support as required.
Whilst specialising in MINI’s we will also service and repair all other makes of vehicle to the same high standards.
